Refund & Cancellation Policy — The Day After Vault

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for purchases made directly on thedayaftervault.com for The Day After Vault.

We aim to keep this process simple and fair. If anything is unclear, please contact us at SUPPORT@THEDAYAFTERVAULT before canceling or disputing a charge.

 

1. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Purchases made directly on thedayaftervault.com using supported payment methods
  • Individual user accounts

This policy does not apply to:

  • Purchases made through third-party platforms or resellers (their policies apply)
  • Business or enterprise accounts governed by separate agreements

 

2. Refund Eligibility

Monthly Plans

  • Eligible for a full refund within 14 days of each charge (including renewals)

Annual Plans

  • Eligible for a full refund within 30 days of the initial purchase
  • Renewals are eligible for a 14-day refund window

Add-ons or One-Time Purchases

  • Eligible for a refund within 14 days, unless otherwise stated at checkout

 

3. Cancellations

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellation stops future billing only
  • Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period

Canceling your subscription does not automatically delete your account or vault data.

 

4. Refund Process

To request a refund:

  • From your account:
    Go to Billing → Invoices → Select Charge → Request Refund (if available)

OR

⚠️ Do not include passwords or sensitive vault data in your message.

We will review your request and confirm eligibility.

 

5. Processing Time

  • Approved refunds are processed promptly
  • Your bank or payment provider may take 5–10 business days to post the refund

If a refund cannot be completed through the original payment method, we will work with you to provide an alternative where possible.

 

6. Plan Changes

Upgrades

  • Any unused time may be applied as a pro-rated credit, where supported by our billing system

Downgrades

  • Changes take effect at the next billing cycle
  • No retroactive refunds or credits are provided unless required by law

 

7. Charge-backs

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first.

Many billing issues can be resolved quickly without involving your bank. Filing a charge-back before contacting support may delay resolution and could temporarily affect your account access during investigation.

 

8. Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds may not be provided in the following cases:

  • Violation of our Terms of Service (including misuse or abuse)
  • Fees paid to third parties (such as taxes or processing fees) where non-refundable
  • Promotional, beta, early-access, or discounted offers clearly marked as non-refundable

 

9. Access After Cancellation or Refund

  • If you cancel without requesting a refund, your access continues until the end of your billing period
  • If a refund is issued, premium access may end immediately

You will still be able to:

  • Access your account
  • Export your data
  • Delete your vault

To permanently delete your account and encrypted data, use:
Settings → Delete Account

 

10. Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements.

When significant changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date and notify users where appropriate.
